Before You Begin:
- Profile and Settings are two different destinations. Your Profile is the page other members see — photos, About, Experience, Education, tags. Your Settings page is where you control privacy, messaging, devices, time zone, and notifications. Both open from the same menu in the upper right corner.
- Site Admins should create Tag Types and tags before members build their profiles. See Tag Types and Directory Filters.
- Acceptable image file types are png, jpg, jpeg, and bmp. Have your banner and profile images ready before you start.
Your members will have access to their profile through Community. With GrowthZone integration, contact information — including their name, company, and email address — will automatically be passed to your Community.

The Final Results:
Common Pitfalls
- Looking for privacy or notification controls on your Profile page: They are not there. Profile is what other members see. Privacy, email visibility, messaging, microphone and camera selection, time zone, and all notification settings are on your Settings page, reached from the same upper-right menu.
- Filling out a profile nobody can see: If Make my Profile Private is on, only your first name, last name, title, company or school, banner photo, and profile photo are visible to others. Everything you add here beyond that is hidden until you turn it off.
- No Tag Type sections on your profile: Tag Types are created by a Site Admin and connected to the Profile page under Layout on the Admin Page. If none appear, none have been set up for your site yet.
- Forgetting to save each section: Experience, Education, and each Tag Type section save individually. Use the Save icon on each one before moving to the next.
