Enable Public Access for Sessions/Meetings
As a site admin, you can choose whether to allow any Community sessions on your site to be open to the public and to accept guest attendees. This setting must be enabled before individual sessions can be opened to guests.
Where to find?
Click the gear icon.
Under Security & Privacy, select Permissions.
Under Sessions/Meetings, enable the "allow public attendees for selected sessions" toggle.
Set up your “Restricted Content Message”
If a public attendee attempts to access an area of the Community platform they do not have access to, this is the message they will see on pages that do not automatically redirect to the login.

Guests registering for the session
Publicly accessible session page
There isn’t a public calendar for Community. The Session URL will need to be distributed through other means. Sessions that are open to public/guest attendees can be viewed without a login.
Members can use the login button to bypass the registration process.
Guests will need to “Register”.
The Registration process
Guests will be required to provide their first name, last name, company, and email address.
Upon clicking the “Register” link, the guest will be presented with a “You’re Registered” confirmation message, prompting them to check their email for the details.
They will be added as a “Guest” user to your Community platform at this time.
They will be added as an Attendee to your session at this time.
When a guest user accesses the session using their magic link, the “Add to Calendar” option will include their personal magic link when adding it to their calendar.
Registration Confirmation Email
The registration confirmation email received by the guest attendee will include a link to the session that also includes their personal registration information, granting them access once it is ready to begin. This link should not be shared.
When adding the session to their calendar, their personal magic link will be included, allowing them to join the session via either the confirmation email or the calendar entry.
While logged in via MagicLink
While still authenticated with a magic link, guests can one-click register for future sessions because the platform recognizes their user information, so there is no need to re-enter their first name, last name, company, or email address.
In the example below
Les registered for a June event
Clicked on the magic link for that event
Was provided a link for another event in April
Was able to one-click register for the April event
Session email reminders
Guest attendees will also receive the 3-day (72-hour) and 15-minute email reminders. These email reminders will include their personal access link.
Canceling a guest registration
Guests are canceling their registration
Using their personal session link, guests can access the session page, and a “Cancel Registration” option is available.
Admins Canceling a guest registration
Site and/or group admins can remove attendees from a session.
